Behaviour Consultations

Sometimes a dog’s behaviour can be difficult to live with or manage. We know this can be very worrying and upsetting time for the owner and we will guide and support you in overcoming these problems. Dogs can experience a wide variety of emotional and psychological disorders which can cause them distress or trigger undesirable behaviours

Victoria is a reputable and experienced dog behaviourist, a full member of the International Canine Behaviourists and International Companion Animal Network and, therefore you can be assured that she is able to offer you the most up to date, science based, and humane training methods to help restore your relationship with your dog.

We take a holistic approach with an initial in-depth behaviour consultation in order to assess your dog thoroughly. Victoria will help you to understand your dogs problems by looking at the causes and offer solutions to reduce and manage the behaviour with a tailor-made behaviour modification program. In addition some dogs will require follow on lessons where Victoria will continue to coach and guide you in achieving effective and practical results.

Due to Covid-19, this service is now being provided via online conference call using Zoom or Whereby apps. Once Victoria has assessed your dog she will design a bespoke training plan and continue to support and guide you via Zoom, Whatsapp and Video tutorial etc.

1-1 Tailor Made Training

Do you work shifts so can’t commit to a set course? Or feel that group training is not for you or your dog? Do you want a more individual approach and some 1-1 coaching?

  • Dogs that are easily distracted, unruly in group courses or out of control in public areas.
  • Dogs that would benefit from confidence building or have anxiety.
  • Dogs on the waiting list for courses or owners who work shifts and are unable to attend set courses.
  • Owners who want specific help with one subject such a walking on a loose lead or recall.
  • Owners who need extra coaching to supplement their learning in addition to their group lessons.

Lessons start with an assessment visit either at your home or around other dogs, to observe and assess your dog and discuss the problem with you. The assessment lesson is around 90 minutes and is followed by practical lessons in the environment in which you need it such as your local park or at home.

In 1-1 training you benefit from individual specific help and your dog is systematically trained in environments with natural distractions such as those in parks, towns and countryside. We cover all aspects of obedience training and general good manners and life skills both at home and on walks.

Package A: £150 consisting of an assessment lesson 90 minutes, and 2 follow up lessons of 60 minutes.

Package B: £220 consisting of an initial assessment lesson of 90 minutes and 4 follow lessons of 6o minutes each, usually 1 per week.
